Does the Rod Handle Interfere With Smooth Casts From Your Baitcast Reel?

If the reel seat is 20 inches or more above the bottom end of the rod, it is difficult to deliver well balanced long distance casts using bait. This position is better suited for a spinning reel, whereas having the reel seat about 14 inches or less from the bottom makes handling the baitcast reel much easier.
